Holiday / Out of office message

Quite a few of our merchants are operating a store themselves, if you are going to be away for a while or taking a holiday and unable to fulfill orders we recommend the following to inform your customers: 1. Message in store header, and on shopping cart page - for example "We will be unable to process orders between 2. For long periods of time you could use a doorway page to ensure customers get the message, create an article to explain the situation and set either as a doorway page or homepage ("Admin home" > "Content" > "Doorway page" / "Homepage content"). Obviously if you can get someone to man the store, answer queries and fulfill orders while you are away this would be the best option. Ultimately you could also put the store in "under construction" mode from your "Admin home" page but we wouldn't recommend this. | |
