To set up EasyWebstore to use google checkout go to Orders > Order payment processing setup in your EasyWebstore shop admin area. You can see Payment by Google Checkout if you scroll down the page a bit. "Merchant / Vendor ID" and "Merchant Key" need to be filled in from the details in your google checkout admin area. In your Google Checkout admin area this information can be found under "Settings" on the top tab, then the "Integration" link on the left hand menu, the Google merchant ID and Google merchant key can be seen on the right hand side. Also on this page you need to set the API callback URL to : https://secure.fast-serve.net/secure/<storeusername>/GoogleCheckoutCallback.aspx Substitute <storeusername> with the your store username, for example : https://secure.fast-serve.net/secure/myshop/GoogleCheckoutCallback.aspx For callback method leave XML selected. At the moment if someone checks out an order from your easywebstore shop using google checkout and they complete payment details and submit the order on the google checkout screens easywebstore will put the order in payment pending status. Depending on how you have your account set up with google you might be taking payment immediately or you might be charging the customers card at a later point, maybe upon despatch. Therefore for now you would have to change the status of the order from payment pending to payment collected / despatched manually in easywebstore. Some people have reported this error when attempting to checkout an order using Google Checkout : The specified ShippingRestrictions result in an unsupported shipping area. Although the Google documentation isn't great on this google only accept certain countries for delivery addresses, it won't allow embargoed countries (countries the US/UK aren't allowed to trade with).
So if you have a delivery method set up in easywebstore and have selected pretty much every country for it, then google might not allow it. We would recommend only selecting the more common countries that you know you can deliver to and miss off some of the more obscure ones. Unfortunately google doesnt provide a list of countries it does allow so its a bit trial and error in order to get it working. http://groups.google.com/group/google-checkout-api-troubleshooting/browse_thread/thread/4d0c9949ca5c570e/93c73759925e0839?lnk=gst&q=specified+ShippingRestrictions+result+in+an+unsupported+shipping+area&rnum=1#93c73759925e0839 | |
