Playing MP3 tracks within a page / product description
Posted by David Hall on 17 November 2008 11:59 AM
We recommend using the XSPF Music player (http://musicplayer.sourceforge.net/) to embed audio

There is instructions on the site above of how to use but a simple description can be found below.

On the page you need to embed / play the mp3 add the following code in the location you want the player to appear.

<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,0,0" width="400" height="16">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain"/>
<param name="movie" value="files/xspf_player_slim.swf?song_url=<yoursongurl>&song_title=<yoursongtitle>"/>
<param name="quality" value="high"/>
<param name="bgcolor" value="#E6E6E6"/>
<embed src="files/xspf_player_slim.swf?song_url=<yoursongurl>&song_title=<yoursongtitle>" quality="high" bgcolor="#E6E6E6" name="xspf_player" allowscriptaccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" align="center" height="16" width="400">
</embed>
</object>

All you need to do is replace <yoursongurl> and <yoursongtitle> with the url and title of your mp3 track (also remove the <> braces).

The mp3 files need to be hosted somewhere, this can be on any free web space with your isp for example. If the files are relatively small we may be able to host on your store for you, you will need to email us the files if you want us to do this.
