Adding an alternative payment method (for example "request a quotation" or "pay on account")

You can modify the behaviors of the "Pay by Cheque" button on this page to allow you to have a custom checkout method of your own choice, for example "Request a quotation" or "Pay on account": Go to your Orders > "Order Payment Processing Setup" page. Activate cheque payments, and then check the "Customize payment button text" box. You can then change the "Pay by cheque payment button text" to something like "Request quotation" or "Pay on account" and put instructions in the box above. Orders will then come to you after customer checks out and appear in payment pending. You can then send the quotations out, raise your own invoices or contact the customer to confirm payment details. | |
