Parent Category; This is the first category that other categories will feed of, they are called child categories
Child Category; they feed of parent categories, they also can hold child categories.

If you have created any other parent categories they will be listed in the drop down box, if you are creating a parent category select [No Parent]

| Name |
This is the name of the category

| Show on Site |
Tick this box if you want the category to appear on site, untick if you do not want this to appear on your site

| Show in Site Navigation |
Tick this box if you want the category to appear on the navigation bar, untick this for the category to no show up in the navigation bar but still be accessible from other sources.

In this box you are able to select an image that will be used for category teasers, simply press "browse..." and then search for the image once you have found the required image press open. The image path will then appear in the box.

This is where you are able to input information about the category teaser

| body (long description) |
In here you are able to input a long description of the product category.

| priority/ order |

| page title |

| META keywords |

| META description |

The URL for this category
|
If you are unable to see the URL press the update button. To customise the URL tick the box.

|
New Child Category
|
Creating a child category will automatically set it as a child in the category that you was in before. All the same options are available that are in the parent category editor.

| ID |
This is the category ID and is created automatically by the system.
|
| Title |
The is the title of the category
|
| Edit |
This icon is used to edit the category, for more information about editing an category please see create product category at the top of the article.

| Delete |
The icon will delete the category and its settings, once you pressed delete you are unable to undo this.
